OUR MISSION

Bridging the AI Literacy Gap

Official documentation and vendor academies are valuable. So are independent courses and videos. The gap IHA addresses is the path from scattered information to guided practice, responsible use, and work a learner can explain.

The Academy serves professionals, founders, nonprofit and public-sector staff, and community leaders who need a nontechnical route into applied AI.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, IHA combines free learning, paid courses, partner programs, and organization cohorts. Ten percent of commercial revenue is designated for free community programming.

WHO WE SERVE

Learning designed around real contexts

The same foundations, evaluation habits, and responsible-use practices are applied to different kinds of work.

Career Changers & Job Seekers

Build practical fluency, document useful work, and learn how to discuss your process without relying on unsupported career promises.

Small Business Owners

Choose a bounded workflow, test whether it creates value, and keep data, quality, and approval boundaries visible.

Corporate Teams

Move from tool access to shared practice, evaluation, governance, and role-specific applied work.

Government & Nonprofits

Explore useful AI while respecting public trust, privacy, accessibility, procurement, and human accountability.

“The central crisis of our time is not a lack of innovation, capital, or systems — but the underdevelopment of human capacity to lead wisely within them.”

Lorenzo Daughtry-Chambers

Founder, Institute for Human Advancement

WHY IHA

Built like an institution, not a course shop

Published learning, built-in practice, public verification, and a funding commitment that widens access.

Field Experience

IHA field programs report serving more than 1,000 people across community, education, healthcare, and enterprise initiatives. Academy learner outcomes are measured separately and will not be inferred from those figures.

The Perpetual Engine

IHA designates 10% of commercial revenue for free community programming through Uplift Communities. Paid programs also sustain instruction, learner support, and platform operations.

Community-Rooted Delivery

IHA has delivered cross-sector work in the United States and internationally. The Academy uses that experience to design learning for community organizations as well as individual professionals.

Built-In Learning Support

Sage Learning, Prompt Lab, notes, projects, and certificate verification are built into the learning platform. AI support helps learners practice; it does not replace human judgment or human review where required.

Honest Credential Language

IHA certificates can be verified publicly. The Academy does not claim accreditation, transfer credit, employer recognition, or job outcomes unless those relationships are formally documented.

Mission-Driven Leadership

Founded by Lorenzo A. Daughtry-Chambers, combining ministry, business, and technology leadership. The certification ecosystem is not just a business — it is a movement aligned with human advancement.

CREDENTIAL TRANSPARENCY

Say Exactly What the Credential Means

Public verification is useful, but it is not the same as accreditation, employer recognition, or proof of job outcomes.

AVAILABLE NOW

Completion Verification

A public verification page can confirm that IHA issued a certificate or badge and that it has not been revoked.

COURSE-SPECIFIC

Evidence-Based Assessment

When a course requires submitted work and human review, that requirement is stated on the course page rather than implied across the catalog.

NOT CURRENTLY CLAIMED

External Recognition

IHA does not currently present Academy credentials as accredited, transferable for academic credit, or accepted by a particular employer.
