ABOUT THE ACADEMY

The AI school built for everyone the industry left behind

Most AI education is built for engineers or sells hype. We teach applied, verifiable AI skills to the people who need them most — and we fund free access for those who can't pay.

OUR MISSION

Bridging the AI Literacy Gap

Most AI training available today falls into two extremes: highly technical programs designed for engineers, or shallow introductory content that amounts to little more than “how to use ChatGPT.” There is an enormous void in the middle — practical, applied AI education for real professionals doing real work.

The Institute for Human Advancement fills that gap. We teach applied AI to real professionals — career changers, founders, corporate teams, and public-sector workers — through a curriculum that takes you from your first prompt to shipping AI in your actual work.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, IHA combines commercial sustainability with social impact. Every paid certification directly enables someone who cannot afford it to access the same education through our Perpetual Engine model.

WHO WE SERVE

Four Audiences Left Behind by AI

IHA's differentiator: applied AI education that is accessible across all demographics, practical for immediate implementation, affordable at multiple price points.

Career Changers & Job Seekers

Millions of workers need AI competencies to remain competitive. The unemployment rate for workers without AI skills is projected to diverge significantly from those with AI capabilities.

Small Business Owners

33.3 million small businesses in the US with zero AI strategy. These owners watch competitors automate while they struggle with the basics.

Corporate Teams

Companies spend billions on AI tools but fail at adoption because their people lack foundational AI literacy. The technology is outpacing the workforce.

Government & Nonprofits

Public sector agencies and mission-driven organizations are among the slowest to adopt AI, yet stand to gain the most from efficiency improvements and better service delivery.

“The central crisis of our time is not a lack of innovation, capital, or systems — but the underdevelopment of human capacity to lead wisely within them.”

WHY IHA

Built like an institution, not a course shop

Real infrastructure, a funding model that widens access, and a credible path to accreditation — the substance behind the certificate.

Existing Infrastructure

IHA already operates workforce development programs through Uplift Communities, including DYCD-funded programs serving 60+ students. Partnerships with healthcare, education, and international development provide immediate cross-sector reach.

The Perpetual Engine

10% of all certification revenue automatically funds free and subsidized access for learners who can't pay. It's not charity bolted on — it's how the school is built, so every paid seat opens another.

Multi-Continental Reach

Active partnerships in Kenya, South Africa, and the Caribbean mean learners join from across continents — with PPP-adjusted pricing so the same curriculum and certificate fit local realities.

Proprietary AI Platform

Students don't just learn about AI — they learn on IHA's own AI-powered platform with multi-model routing, adaptive learning, and an AI mentor that personalizes every experience.

Accreditation Strategy

Pursuing IACET accreditation, CEU designation, WIOA-approved training provider status, and formal articulation agreements with community colleges for transfer credit.

Mission-Driven Leadership

Founded by Lorenzo A. Daughtry-Chambers, combining ministry, business, and technology leadership. The certification ecosystem is not just a business — it is a movement aligned with human advancement.
